SHIMMY DAMPER
Back in 1987 when I was ready to put in a shimmy damper, for some reason I could not get one, so I made my own.

I disassembled the Brock NG to see what I could do about the Shimmy damper, my COZY plans called for NG-17 ( E ) to have a 3/4" OD and 9/16"ID instead there was a change that doubled the wall thickness now making the ID 3/8" as this was not a close tolerance hole a AN- 6 bolt just fits nicely.
I removed NG-21 and removed the 3/16"roll pin identified on my drawing as "F" I made a cup washer( C ). I inserted a AN6-50 ( A ) bolt through the NG-17bore, place three stacks of "Disk springs"( D ) over the NG-17. I located the cup washer ( C ) over the bolt and held the assembly together with a castlenut and secured it with a cotter pin. I then drove 3/16" X 1/2" long rollpins on each side of the bolt.
